I have been involved in education all of my life starting as a young child playing school with my sister and stuffed animals. That passion for teaching and learning has never left me.
I earned my associates degree at Salem Community College and quickly began working with educators as a science trainer in Salem County, New Jersey. I then began my bachelors program at Rutgers University where I earned my Bachelors of Arts in General Science. After several years of teaching middle school science in New Jersey, I began my journey with MOT Charter School teaching middle school science and STEM classes. Throughout my time at MOT, I have been fortunate to be engaged in leadership activities as the school’s lead mentor, science curriculum leader, and student government advisor. I have also been a science kit trainer for the Delaware Department of Education Science Coalition. When opportunity knocks, I always answer and have been very fortunate to have taught science teachers in China for Enterprise for Education and to have been aboard the Joides Resolution, a research deep sea drilling vessel.
After earning my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, I spent several years as the Principal of Students and Families before assuming the role of Principal of the K-8 Academy at MOT Charter. This is an extremely rewarding job and I love working with amazing students, families and passionate education professionals.
